People who agree to give government enough power to do their will are using which theory of government?
social contract theory
The Steady State theory is now an obsolete theory. It was an interesting alternative to the normal Big Bang theory, but it doesn't agree with observations. A confederate government is where the people (the citizens, population of the country) consent (agree) to give their representatives (people who express the views of their state [people who tell the government what the majority of people in their state think]) the power (the ability) to decide certain policies (things that will affect the state) for them. Also, if they do not agree with some of the things that have been decided, the states can…
Many people today would say that the Government is taking more and more of our rights away "for the greater good of the Country". A famous American once said that, 'Anyone who would trade his rights for security deserves neither one.' So what we see is Government following Locke's principles whether the people agree or not.
If the people themselves vote on each law, it is a Democracy. If they elect representatives who are empowered to pass laws in the name of the people, it is a Republic. It would, however, be considered a democratic form of government, as the people do have input in the form of the Representatives they elect -- at least in theory. The United States, contrary to popular myth, is a republic, not a democracy.
People often describe the federal bureaucracy as the government at work What do you think this means?
When people agree that their government has the right to make and enforce laws which form of government is this?
its not a form of government. This decision was made a long time ago when our founding fathers made the constitution, they probably didn't even ask the people if the government could rule them, but if the people are not happy with the way the government is working we are allowed to over throw the system or impeach government members,
If the government says something contradictory to that said in the media, the media can claim it as a coverup while the government can only say the media is misleading the people. However, the media usually tells people what they want to hear and thus people are more likely to agree with them against the government.
Historians and political scientists agree on the origins of government When where and how did the first government begin?
From my understanding of the Natural Rights Theory, human beings are granted upon creation certain rights that they are guaranteed regardless of what their government is, and they are (always) life and liberty and usually property as well. The Natural Rights Theory works with the Social Contract Theory, which states that men in their primal state are in a state of war where they act only in their self interest. Under a social contract, men…
Karl Marx was the creator of Conflict Theory, which is a sociological theory that emphasizes the role of the economy as the basis of society. It argues that workers and the people who own the 'means of production' will always be at odds until the workers rise up and assert their dominance. Many people disagree with the theory, but it is useful in explaining a variety of societal issues.
