there are two changes in matter: physical change and chemical change. physical change means the change in size, shape, texture and any other physical characteristics, but no any new substance made or added. while in chemical change, there's a change in the object's physical appearance but also made a new substance.
Physical change does not change a substance. It could change shape - for example cutting a piece of paper in two is physical change. Putting it through a paper shredder is physical change. When ice melts, that is a physical change. So even if it changes state (solid to liquid, liquid to gas, etc), it is still a physical change. Chemical change is different. The substance has changed in a more substancial way. If you lit the paper on fire it is undergoing a chemical change. There are five basic ways to tell if something is a chemical change, and they are: 1) Heat or light is produced. 2) Bubbles or gas are formed. 3) A precipitate is formed (a small solid is formed within what was just a liquid). 4) It is hard to reverse. 5) A new color is present. So water turning into a gas is a physical change, but if you are boiling it (and bubbles are formed) then it is chemical, and physical (if it changes state).
Physical Change-occur when objects or substances undergo a change that does not change their chemical change
Chemical Change-occur when a substances combines with another to form a new substances
Physical: occur when objects undergo a change that does not change their chemical nature
Example; wood burning turns to ash.
Chemical: there is a chemical reaction, that changes its "appearance"
Example; metal left in rain rusts the rust is the change
A physical change occur when the molecular structure of chemicals are not changed.
A chemical change occur when the molecular structure of chemicals is changed.
Grinding is physical, neutralization of an acid is chemical.
Chemical changes is new substances forms with properties that differ from original substance.
Physical changes is changes of state
Physical change: evaporation of water from a lake.
Chemical change: destruction of iron structures by acid rains.
you guys are all stupid pussies
it can be... writing with lead ads another element to the paper along with ink.... so technically yes :)
The reaction with acid to form H2 is a chemical property.
Besides for rearranging the glass pieces, one is not actually changing the chemical formula of the glass. Much like grinding NaCl, the crystals get smaller but the chemical remains the same.
it is a chemical change
Chemical broooooooooooooooo niga
chemical change as a new substance is formed
yo bro go
Chemical
njh
Silver is a chemcial. More specifically, it is an element.
A change in state is a physical change because the chemical composition of the substance remains the same.
Physical. The water changes its state of matter from liquid to gaseous. No chemical reaction (i.e. change) going on there.
it can be... writing with lead ads another element to the paper along with ink.... so technically yes :)

The freezing point is a physical change because the substance is the same before and after only changing its form.
A physical change is reversible and does not affect the composition of a substance. On the other hand, chemical change is irreversible and permanent. A substance undergoing a chemical change forms a new substance which has different composition than the original substance.
