I think you are talking about a chemical change,
Chemical change
Physical-it is still wood, just in small pieces
The chemical change is made by these following:- 1. Temperature 2. pressure 3. Nature of chemical
A PHYSICAL CHANGE MEANS CHANGE IN EXTERNAL APPEARANCE .A CHEMICAL CHANGE MEANS THE CHANGE IN THE PARTICLES BY WHICH IT IS MADE up OF.Physical Changes are d changes which are reversible .In this change we can get the products back. eg-Mixing of water and salt ,we can get salt back .Chemical changes are d changes which are irreversible . In this change we cannot get the products back . eg- Burning of candle , we cannot get the matchstick back after burning .

Sawing a board in half is not an example of chemical change. It is an example of a physical change. Physical changes on a substance do not change the substance. When you saw a board in half, the two halves of the boards are still boards- they're not anything else.
sawdust
There are two kinds of changes - physical and chemical. It depends on how the change is made.
What is made of wood but can't be sawedsaw dust
Chemical
The chemical change is made by these following:- 1. Temperature 2. pressure 3. Nature of chemical
In a chemical reaction something new is created. A chemical change is inreversible where as a physical change is. In a physical change nothing new is formed.
