Palisade cells filled with maximum chloroplasts, leaf orientation to get sunshine on its every part and increased stomatal porocity are some of the photosynthetic adaptations of plants. The C4 plants having all these peculiarities are more efficient than C3 plants.

Plants have improved their survivability from the first algae and mosses through water conducting (vascular) tissues. A structure allowing plants to store water helped them to survive on dry land and helps to conserve their water more efficiently than their ancestors. Ferns and their relatives came after algae and mosses.

The next adaptation was the formation of seeds, which helps the plant reproduce over more areas. It could be carried by wind and animals. Cone-bearing plants follow after ferns and their relatives.

The last is the flowering plants, which have male and female parts. The pollen reaches the female part of another plant through insects and wind and helps to produce more seeds.
It depends on which plant you are talking about really

That depends on the plant in question. Plants, like all living things, boast a variety of features and adaptations meant for survival and prosperity. Some plants have spines, some consume small animals, and some use chemicals to communicate, fight off predators, or attract pollinators. There is no one adaptation that exists within every plant, barring photosynthesis, and even that is varied among different plant types.
