This stage is from birth to about two years old 2.Preoperational(ex. if you have two equal sized glasses full of water, they are equal, but if you have a tall skinny glass, and a short and fat glass, both containing the same volume of water (even if you poured them from the equal sized glasses) then they think the one with the higher level, the tall and skinny, has more) This stage takes place from age two til about age seven. 3. Concrete Operational(can think logically about objects and events, can classify objects according to its different features, example, group the square blocks together, and group the triangular ones together. age 7-11 4. Formal operational becomes concerned with hypothetical things, the future and ideological problems, age 11+
