The oil drain plug is right on the oil pan itseft.
yes the tranny oil and diff oil are seperate, typically there is a drain plug and a fill plug located on the diff usually a 3/4" combo wrench will do the trick
It is located in the front of the diff on the driver's side. There is no drain plug on the diff cover so one has to either sifen the fluid out or remove the cover to replace the oil. The plug requires a 3/8" square socket extention to remove.
If you look at the diff. you will see a drain plug and a re-fill plug. Check with your local dealer for the right oil.
Under the truck.......lol
there is an oil filler plug/bolt located on the diff cover. open it up, put oil in until it starts to spill out, put the plug back in.
get a half inch driver socket wrench, locate the drain plug on the diff. drain plug will be close to the bottom of diff or if there is no drain bolt you must remove entire diff cover, probably 10 bolts. drain, replace gasket or make new one with RTV torque bolts to "gut-n-tight" German standards and fill with new oil at fill plug(upper part of diff cover). recycle oil then take a shower because you probably got some nasty smelling 80-90w on your skin. Done.
oil for what rear axle ,ayc unit, gearbox, transfer box ,front diff or engineo or the brake fluid
there is 2 different ways to change the fluid this is a drain plug on the front of the rear diff or you can take the back of the pumpkin off on the rear diff.
for the oil pan it looks like the head of a bolt on the back of the oil pan, for a diff it is a headless bolt that a 3/8 ratchet fits in w/o socket on front of the diff
Does not have one. If you want to drain gear oil you remove the diff cover.
