Aircraft service and maintenance is done in a Hangar. It is the resting place for a plane. It can also be done in an open field.
It contains all the necessary information for an aircraft engineer to trouble shoot, service, functionally and repair all the system in an aircraft.
There are a few types of jobs that someone in aircraft maintenance would have to do. These include routine inspections of the aircraft, period service, and different types of checks that they call Types A through D.
the difference between aircraft maintenance engineer and aeronautical engineer is, aeronautical engineer dose the design work theoritically, while the aircraft engineer maintain and service the airplane
Aviation maintenance is performed based on hours of service, which vary from aircraft to aircraft; a maintenance plan can roughly approximate time periods in days for scheduling maintenance, at the shop level; this phrase can have other meanings depending upon context.
Private or Commercial pilot
The Airline engineering and maintenance companies check aircraft engines, repair faulty parts, service aircraft, and keep record of repairs.
PSES BOEING AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TERM
Every airline service is required to do regular and precise maintenance on their aircraft to ensure the safety and quality of the trip for both passengers and workers on-board.
Aircraft maintenance jobs!!??
A part of the airfield where aircraft are worked on.
The service ceiling of an aircraft is the maximum altitude that the aircraft can safely maintain.
A Mechanic is a person who has completed FAA-approved training and has been licensed to perform maintenance on aircraft. Their training allows them to perform general maintenance that includes repair of the engine, replace components, wiring of the aircraft and repairs to the structure. They have to have further training for more technical maintenance and computer trouble-shooting. A mechanic does everything that is needed to keep the aircraft in airworthy condition. Aircraft have checks and maintenance that is performed every day and very regularly. Then there is maintenance that is required at longer intervals. These "checks" are very detailed and require a long time to accomplish. For passenger airliners, a major check will require the aircraft to be out of service for 4 to 8 weeks as much of the aircraft is disassembled to obtain access to internal parts and components. Some tasks include X-raying parts of the wing to look for cracks. So any regular maintenance or repair that is accomplished on an aircraft can only be done by a certified aircraft mechanic.
