The most common exam is CAT for Indian institutes. However if you are applying abroad GMAT is the test. Several Indian schools however have their own tests; for instance XLRI has XAT, Symbosis SNAP etc. another common test which you can take for grade B schools is MAT. So first find out what school you want to apply and based on that you can prepare for the test.
