There are many options. The Pharmaceutical Industry, either in research or in sales. There is work within the Government as a State Veterinary Surgeon, responsible for responding to disease outbreaks in livestock. There is also work within the Army as a member of the Veterinary Corps, duties including taking care of army dogs and horses, ensuring the safety of food for soldiers in combat, and also bioterrorism defence. There is also work within the food industry, generally meat inspection. There is also work within academia, either research or teaching of Veterinary Medicine.
