There are three types: -Historical, such as Julius Caesar. -Tragedy, such as Macbeth. -Comedy, such as The Merry Wives of Windsor. Historical pertains to a recounting (though not always accurate) of a historical Figure. Tragedies begin in joy and end in sorrow. Comedies begin in sorrow and end in joy.
