The price of the Roadrunner super computer is hard to pin down.

In 2006, Congress allocated $35 million to set it up. r/f http://nnsa.energy.gov/news/1015.htm

According to an IBM press release in 08 the machine cost "about" $100 million.

Los Alamos Labs, for whom the Roadrunner was built, published an article in 07, before the completion of the super computer, saying the final price would be around $120 million

Some articles have said the final price ranged from $122 to 135 million, but the prices are unsubstantiated.

PC World ran an article, in June 08, on the machine

The BBC also ran an interesting web article on the Road Runner in June 08 - http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/7443557.stm
