I am assuming you are asking about getting the battery out of your 1988 Chevy Celebrity.
To get the battery out:
1. Loosen the strut from the radiator support bracket and swing it aside. You may have to loosen the single bolt at the inner fender well to move the strut.
2. Wearing gloves to protect your skin from battery acid remove the ground cable.
3. Remove the positive cable.
4. Loosen and remove the holding clamp at the bottom of the battery.
5. Lift the battery out of the battery tray.
Reverse the steps to put the battery back in.
My 1987 Chevy Celebrity with 2.8 V6 was doing the same thing. I cured the problem by replacing three dead fuel injectors.

what is the wiring diagram for an 1988 Chevy celebrity stero
To give you an answer we need to know more specifically what the problem you are trying to repair is.
Yes
I had a 1987 Chevy Celebrity that would start and then immediately die. It turned out to be bad fuel injectors. I replaced three fuel injectors and the problem has not returned.
If you are not getting spark to any of the plugs could be coil rotor and/or cap HEI ignition?
