The contents of an active cell always appear in the formula bar located at the top of the spreadsheet interface. This allows users to view and edit the data or formula contained within the selected cell. Additionally, the active cell's contents are displayed directly within the cell itself.

You can start editing by clicking on the content in the formula bar or pressing the F2 key.Cell editing is making any changes to the contents of the cell whether the contents is text, data (numbers) or a formula. When you copy the contents of a source cell into a destination cell, the existing contents of the destination cell will be replaced by the contents of the source cell. This means that any data, formulas, or formatting in the destination cell will be lost unless you have a backup or undo option available. The new contents will take the place of whatever was previously there.
The Esc key - found at the top left corner of the keyboard. It quits any editing you're doing - and returns the cell to the previous state.
