The process by which a gas becomes liquid is called Condensation That's the name of it! I was trying to remember it, glad Hmshood has a better memory than me. The physical process, by the way, is the molecules losing enough energy (usually cooling off) to let the intermolecular forces take hold and keep them together. If it keeps cooling, they often solidify into a crystalline latice.
