There are many causes for heart malfunction. Firstly, consult with a cardioligist !
An atrial fib, could cause irregular heart beat function and create a clot. Plaque could break away from any artery in the body ( Watch out for undiagnosed leg pain, arm pain...extremity pain. Have your carotid arts, checked for flow. A loosened bit of plaque could end your life. If you cannot tolerate any of the statin drugs, such as Crestor, even the use of very small quantities may prevent plaque from straying in the arterial system. Slowly, increase the intake of the drug even over a month or two. In some cases I understand the body will begin to acclimate itself to the drug intake. Go slowly at first. 2.5 mg's is plenty to start. These statin drugs last a long time and they will not lose their effectiveness for a long time even when split up into bits. Always consult with your doc. before beginning any kind of regimen. The heart is a very complicated organ as you well know. I have lived to 80 years old and still counting after a 5 stage bypass which was given to me after I insisted on a stress test and after being told all was ok! I avoided a surefire deadly heart attack by using my own intuitive reasoning ( I was without pain but something told me to check it out, fatigue was one symptom). Don't dispair. Many great things are being worked on even as I type the epistle. Get checked. Insist on a stress test. If you are unable to walk or run other tests are available to check on plaque buildup. Good luck. Listen to your body. Find a Doctor Who takes a keen interest in getting you to feel better. It's not always about living a long time; it's about the quality of your life and what you will be capable of doing to be feeling the best you can be. The bypass took place 16 years ago.
