is it for graduate study? if so, depending on the field, many US universities offer tuition waivers and scholarships for graduate students. Many churches also provide scholarships for students. I know the Methodist Church often sponsors students, several dozen a year, to schools in the US. *Edit* You can search for scholarships for African students to study abroad. There are several scholarship programmes offered annually to African women and men. Some organisations that come to mind are: Mastercard foundation Commonwealth Scholarship Commission OPEC Fund for International Davelopment etc.
