Rise of Feudalism (5th century and results in 12th century)
Rise in Attacks
Feudalism keot peace and order as it meant that the king had divided out land to the rank of society lower than him and they had to swear an oath to be loyal, so after swearing the oath they could not break and that is why peace and order was kept.
The fall of the Roman Empire.
Feudalism was the social structure prevalent in Europe from the fall of the Roman Empire to the Renaissance. It provided security in the absence of sovereign nations.
Feudalism in Europe began shortly after the fall of the roman empire. You see, after Rome was conquered, a lot of people fled the city and began to form groups in order to gain protection. These groups will eventually form kingdoms (although it will probably be a good idea for you to review feudalism vs. manorialism.) Remember that the Roman Catholic Church also began gaining power around this time.

Feudalism restored order to Western Europe after the fall of the Roman Empire by creating a structured hierarchy of loyalty and land ownership. Lords granted land to vassals in exchange for military service and protection, while peasants worked the land in return for security and sustenance. This system established localized governance and social stability during a time of chaos, allowing communities to function and defend themselves against external threats. Thus, feudalism provided a framework that helped to maintain order in a fragmented and tumultuous landscape.

This depends on the definition of feudalism. If feudalism is regarded is identical to manorialism, then it started in the places that had been parts of the West Roman Empire, when that empire fell, at the start of the middle ages. Another view of feudalism is that it is a medieval system for the control of relatively large countries with weak central governments, and by this definition, it started about four hundred years after the fall of the West Roman Empire, in France and the Holy Roman Empire with the division of the Carolingian empire.
It represented a symbolic date of the French Revolution; the citizens took over the prison in order to acquire gunpowder in order to fight off the kings foreign army. The fall of the Bastille (not Basille) was important to the French people since it was a symbol of the French aristocracy and oppressive system of Feudalism. Destroying the Bastille symbolised the end of the aristocracy.
Feudalism gradually declined in Europe from the late Middle Ages through the early modern period, with significant changes occurring between the 14th and 16th centuries. The rise of centralized monarchies, the growth of trade and towns, and the impact of events like the Black Death contributed to its decline. By the end of the 16th century, feudal structures had largely weakened, though remnants persisted in some regions. Overall, there isn't a specific year marking its complete fall, as it was a gradual transformation.
