Be as honest and open about anything that is asked of you. Do not fabricate anything that you do not know the answer for, rather simply state "I'm sorry but I don't know the answer for that." And THAT may be the answer that they are seeking as it could be a trick question.
If they ask "do you do drugs" and you actually have done drugs, answer "yes". Never ever lie about this as one day they will find out eventually. Don't lie ... that is a sure ticket to being shown the exit door. Focus on your talents, what you do best, what you have achieved in prior jobs, what your goals are for you personally and why you think they need to hire you.
If you are not selected for the job, then re-evaluate the interview in your mind and try to remember any pitfalls or issues that you feel might have not worked in your favor. Then at the next interview things will become easier. From a personal standpoint I recently was interviewed for a new job ... the last time was 34 years ago. I was very respectful of the people doing the interview, answered every question honestly and as accurately as possible, did not lie about anything, and I got the job ... and there were 4 other people applying.
