Pet rabbits do not eat when they have to much hair clogging up their system, in other words if they have hairballs. They can not get rid of hairballs by them selves. To prevent getting hairballs, brush your rabbit daily and/or feed it lots of timothey hay or alfalfa. Hairballs are pretty serious, they could kill the rabbit. I advise you to take you rabbit to emergencey emmidiatley it is not something that they can pass. If it has not been eating for a while, then it probably has a hairball, a while being 2 or three days. But if it was just a short time, maybe it is just not hungry. I hope I helped. Good luck.
He/she is probably not pooping because she does not have a good source of water. Make sure that EVERY day your rabbit is provided with clean, fresh water. if your bunny does not have water it will not eat, and without food it will not poop.
If your rabbit isn't defecating (pooing), it is probably very sick (GI stasis). This is an emergency! Your bunny needs immediate veterinary attention or else he/she will probably die. See the link below for details about GI stasis.
There are many possible reasons why this might have happened, including those stated above. Rabbits should basically be defecating all the time. If it's only been a few hours, then your rabbit might be okay; but if it's been a whole day that your rabbit hasn't defecated, and he's also not eating, then he needs to see the vet immediately. You can't treat this problem at home: your rabbit needs drugs (pain meds, gut motility meds), subcutaneous fluids, and possibly other treatment (depending on what caused this to happen).
Rabbits should produce a large quantity of droppings every day. Droppings take two forms, hard fecal pellets consisting of quickly digested fibre that passes easily through the colon, and slightly larger, softer cecotropes, which are only partially digested and are a rich source of vitamins, and which must be reingested to fully break down. While it may seem unappealing, it's important that rabbits are allowed to eat the cecotropes and they are often consumed directly as they come out of the anus.
If as little as a day elapses without your rabbit producing either of these two types of pellets, it is cause for concern. It may indicate a fairly common but very serious health issue in pet rabbits known as gastrointestinal stasis (GI). This is a potentially deadly condition where the digestive system slows down or even stops completely, causing bad bacteria and gas to build up, and feces to become compacted within the intestinal tract, resulting in painful bloating.
Closely monitor your rabbit to see if it is demonstrating any of these symptoms: small and/or malformed fecal pellets, no fecal pellets at all, loss of appetite, lethargy (sleepy, not wanting to move), and a hunched posture. If you suspect GI, the only effective treatment is to get your rabbit to a vet specially trained in small animal care right away.
It sounds like your rabbit is constipated ,what have you been feeding it. The vet should best check it out
Because he/she eats a lot...................
It is because the food you are giving it doesnt agree with your bunny/rabbit. Maybe go to the vets and he will give more details to you. Hope I helped x

I would say you need to take her to the vet as soon as you can. If a pet rabbit is not eating or pooping one needs to take it to the vet. A pet rabbits life span is 9 to 12 years.
by pooping on it and then eating it
by eating healthy foods
go to the vet right away!!! my rabbit died from his digestive system being backed up...if your rabbit is not eating/drinking, this is a serious situation and must be checked imediatley!
eating, then digesting, then getting nutrients, then poop
Pooping, and eating fish.
animals recycling seeds by eating them and pooping them out
by eating and then pooping it out
Make sure that it is moving, and that they are eating and.... pooping
The answer to this question is the same for all breeds of pet rabbit. When a pet rabbit is so sick or injured that it stops eating, drinking, peeing, and/or pooping, and/or if the rabbit is lying there not moving at all, then it will die unless it gets help from the vet. See the related questions below for more information and helpful links.
