I don't know its ranking for mechanical engineering but i have read positive reviews about this university. They have done pretty good job in recent years. They have shown decent placements records for most of their courses, so it should also be as much good for its mechanical engineering as it is for its core program.
number 11 at present among private engineering universities
If it is for 2009 chances are remote.

I have a friend who studies Computer Engineering in UPES, Dehradun and is very glad. I remember him telling me that UPES runs B-Tech program with a specialization in Cyber law, Retail Automation and Cloud computing, Telecom informatics etc in computers and they also have other engineering programs in the field of Electronic, Power, Oil & Gas, Transportation,Infrastructure etc . If you are still on for b.tech then you have made a good choice.Check out the institute yourself see Related Links.
It's the same thing. If you have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, you have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
The rank required for admission to the YMCA Institute of Engineering for mechanical engineering can vary each year based on factors such as the number of applicants and overall performance in entrance exams like JEE Main. Typically, a rank within the range of 30,000 to 50,000 in JEE Main may be competitive, but it's best to check the latest cut-off trends or the official YMCA admission guidelines for the most accurate information.
