first of all this question makes no sense and no you cannot record audio with the xcl nor can you with any other turtle beach/ and the xlc's are the worst
Yes you can, it's called an hdmi audio adaptor
the turtle beach xlc is the cheapest one althought it is cheaply made and is not worth getting, i would recommend getting the turtle beach x11, it is the next step up at $60 and is alot better quality, the sound, the mic and the everything else is nicer, because on the xlc you cant hear your friends in chat very well and it does not have a volume switch, and plus the x11 will last longer.
Any Turtle Beach will be better than the crappy Xbox communicator mic. The Turtle Beaches have game sounds and chat! This lets you hear everything in the game so much easier than when using TV speakers. Plus it's easier to talk to your teammates.

Hypersonic XLC was created in 2001.
The duration of Hypersonic XLC is 16.0 seconds.
No, the XLC does not have the additional cables for it to work on the PC. I think that's probably one of the reasons the headset is cheaper than the likes of the X11 or X12 (they both work on PC). To be honest, you could probably find some sort of adaptor or splitter to make it work on your PC.

Dude I've been looking and almost every review says that the only thing different about them is that the xlc is a little less comfortabl. but i think the price pays up 4 it. im buyin em.
Yes, you can. But, as what is happening to me, the computer is not recognizing the exterior headset. It is just showing the default computer mic and speakers. I am on Windows 7. I assume this is because the headset is not usb. Also, I found that the mic doesn't pick up words with "s" that well. You can buy a 2.5 MM Female to 3.5 MM Male adapter for the microphone output as well as a standard RCA R/W to 3.5 MM adapter for the audio output. Doing so will convert your headset into a PC headset. Note: If you do this you may need to plug the USB cord into a wall outlet to produce sufficient power for the microphone to work properly.
