No
they made long rifles for hunting and the rifle. They also made handguns for protection
Not very high dollar firearms, but not junk either. Basic, utility grade handguns. They DID make some very nice target rifles at one time.
An Iver Jonson WHAT??? They made rifles, handguns and shotguns. A serial number alone tells us nothing. We need make, model and condition.
Yes, Winchester did produce handguns, although they are primarily known for their rifles and shotguns. The company manufactured a few models of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, notably the Winchester 1910 and 1911 auto pistols. However, these handguns were not as prominent or successful as their long gun offerings and are less commonly recognized in the firearms community today.
Beretta is a make of gun. They make rifles, shotgun, handguns and machine guns. Without knowing WHICH Beretta, your question cannot be answered. If you mean the military M9 pistol, no. THAT is a caliber 9mm Parabellum, which is a totally different cartridge from a .38 Special.

As of my last update in October 2023, New England Firearms (NEF) does not produce handguns. The company, known primarily for its single-shot rifles and shotguns, was acquired by the Freedom Group, which later became part of Vista Outdoor. NEF's focus has been on long guns rather than handguns. For the most current product offerings, it's best to check directly with Vista Outdoor or NEF's official website.
