When Edward's younger brother George the duke of Clarence first rebelled against Edward, Richard, the duke of Gloucester at the time, stuck with Edward. He even went with Edward when they had to run from the earl of Warwick's attack. He also helped Edward IV when James III of Scotland kept attacking the English-Scottish border, and successfully took Edinborough. He was a fantastic warrior, and up until Edward's death, a very loyal brother.

King George V died in 1936 and was automatically succeeded by his eldest son who was proclaimed King Edward VIII. King Edward insisted on marrying a divorced American, so gave-up the throne in 1936 in favour of his brother Albert, who was proclaimed King George VI and crowned in 1937.
The Prince of Wales in 1920 was Prince Edward, the eldest son of King George V. Prince Edward briefly became King Edward VIII in 1936 but abdicated in favour of his brother Prince Albert, who reigned as King George VI until 1952.
The execution of George, Duke of Clarence was carried out privately in the Tower of London on 18th February, 1478. Rumor reported that he had been drowned in a barrel of wine.
