Turn the crank to lower the jack, it's held in place by raising the slot in the top of the jack onto a tab.
In the trunk to the right there is a hidden compartment with a small picture of a jack on it. You must remove the compartment door to get to the jack.
apparently it is in the passenger compartment relay box which is "under the driver side dash" Please someone confirm before I try removing the whole dash to my car.

Im in the same situation as you. I have a 93 GMC 1500 and have gotten as far as removing the glove box and removing the bottom screws on the box compartment the holds the evaporator coil. I will give you more info as I proceed..... Jack

It should be in the same compartment as the jack - behind the seat. Agreed. I have a '97 Ford Ranger. The jack and jack handle are in a compartment behind the passenger seat.
Try removing the screws holding the compartment door hinge from underneath.

Open the glove compartment and take everything out if you have anything in their and its on top of the glove compartment a little silver aux input jack
