No you could go blind by hitting nerves. It happens to alot of people who pierce the tongue.
^ tottaly incorrect, most of the nerves in your tongue are on the edges of your tongue... if you hit a nerve than your a dumba*s, what you really want to worry about are blood vessels, now that is some serious dammage that is more common. Yes you should pierce your tongue! but just make sure you or the professional doing it for you has proper sterilized equipment, because infection IS serious.
