What type of vehicle are you working on? You could have a bad dimmer switch, a blown fuse or fusible link, a bad relay, a bad connection in the harness, or a burned up wire. Do both high and low beams not work? Get a manual with a wiring schematic and troubleshoot.
There are three headlight settings on your headlight switch. You can turn the low beam headlights on by turning the headlight switch.
Twist the headlight switch.
its got to be two things either your headlights or the headlight switch, theres no relay so straight power from the battery to the switch to the headlamps. just change your headlight and it should work.
Probably have a "dimmer switch problem" The switch is mounted on the side of the steering column and can be replaced easily. Using a test light, 3 wires are at the switch. the wire coming down from the headlight switch that should be hot when headlight switch is activated. The other two are outputs which go to the high or low circuit of the headlights respectively.Easy to fix with a 12 volt test light for troubleshooting.
it was a recall on those models go to your Lincoln dealer and have the headlight switch replaced
probably bad headlight switch, the break light wires run through the headlight switch
that switch does not exist. It simply is activated when you spray your windshield washer fluid onto the windshield. Your headlight switch has to be on. I know your lights are always on, however the wipers for your headlights will only activated if the headlight switch is in the on position.
check the headlight/multifunction switch
The headlights are not fused. The headlight switch has a built in circuit breaker.
Bulbs? Fuses? Relay? Dimmer switch? Headlight switch?
Most headlights are not fused they are wired direct thru the headlight switch... Is your switch bad??
The circuit breaker for the headlights is intergrated with the headlight switch.
