This is not true. Neither drive axle runs through the engine block.
It is in between the cylinder head and the block.
The resistor block is bad
Drivers Side Grounded to the block.
Lower radiator hose at the engine block. Most Dodges have it there.
It is mounted to the backside of the fuse block inside the vehicle.
1997 DODGE STRATUS HAS A BAD ENGINE BLOCK. 85 % OF THE 1995-1998 STRATUS' HAVE BAD ENGINES. AS A RESULT, THE OTHER PROBLEMS SURFACE.

It is on the back of the block, above the oil pan, near the bellhousing.
oil filter is located on the engine block under the power steering pump.
On the 4 cylinders it is in the rear of the block. On the 6 cylinder it is in the top of the bell housing.
It is under the housing where the lower radiator hose hooks to the block.
