first you have to this when your car is not on. turn the ignition switch for power and the bottom button that has an arrow on it press this until you see reset oil life and press
You have to reset the oil life in the computer to get it to go out.
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine). Press and release SETUP to display "OIL LIFE xxx% HOLD RESET = NEW". Press and hold RESET for 2 seconds and then release to reset oil life to 100%. Turn ignition off and then start engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

after changing your oil, press the TRIP function by the steering wheel until oil life is displayed. It should be at 0%. Then hold the RESET button for a few seconds and it will clear it and put your oil life at 99%.
