Persuade a jeweller to test it with a testing kit. or ask it if its gold
The initials, of course, are unrelated to the material of the gold. You should take the ring to a jewelry shop and have the experts analyze it.
Having a gold bar, a ring mold (and a gem if you want to add it to the ring)
You may want to have that ring checked by a reputable jeweler. It sounds like you have a copper ring plated in white gold and the plating has worn off the underside and is oxidizing from the moisture on your finger. White gold is Regular gold mixed with a white metal like nickel to change its color.
JCR is the maker's mark; 10k means it is 10 carat gold. Google "carat" if you want to learn about the different gold carats in jewelry. JCR is the maker's mark. I am trying to find exactly who and where this one came from. I own a vintage black opal ring (around the 1950's) with the same maker's mark and same carat gold. So far I have found one other with the same mark online that is also a vintage and white opal.

HGE stands for heavy gold elctroplate, which means that your ring is not gold, it only has a microscopic ammount of gold ontop of some worthless metal. Even if it was gold, you didn't include the weight. People don't buy gold rings because they are collectable or unique, they buy them for EXACTLY how much GOLD is in them, they want the GOLD! There are so many of these questions on here, asking how much is my gold ring worth... How are we supposed to know if you don't include the WEIGHT of the ring??!!
Alot of women want a princess cut ring for their wedding ring. So look into that
14K is the percentage of gold in alloy. 24K is pure gold. UD stands for Unique Designs
You must have a ring mould, a gold bar and a cut gem in your invintory, you use the gold bar on a furnace, and it will give you the option to create the ring you want. This is the same for neckalaces and amulets too.
Don't wear the ring. It takes a few weeks for it to fade, so if you are planning on cheating and just want to take it off, forget it. One of my favorite things to ask a man is "does your wife know you are cheating?" because I have seen the dreaded wedding ring mark. This more or less takes the wind out of his sails.
