If it is not marked on the barrel, you should have a gunsmith measure the chamber length.
Many early ones may not have a serial number. If they do, it will most likely be on the side of the receiver. There is a small chance it will be inside, after you remove the barrel.
It should be marked on the barrel or reciever. If not, take it to a gunsmith
If it is a single-shot, $75-$150. Double barrel, $150-$300.
Check with a local gunsmith. Parts from a J. Stevens single shot should fit. Numrich may also be able to help you.
try looking at savage or Stevens shotgun diagrams. I found a firing pin for a 16 gauge riverside it was an old model 94 Stevens part
