Rm 250 suzuki dirt bike and it takes several kicks to start it should you choke it more or can you do anything to make it work better?

Get a tuneup on the bike, focusing on the carb and sparkplugs.
When starting your bike, kick slowly until you feel the most resistance from the engine, return the kicker to the top and then give a good hard kick. It's a high-performance engine, so the compression is going to be higher than a regular engine making it harder to start. Especially when it's cold.
