Root word ana?
Asked in Yahoo Mail and Messenger
What does ana stand for on MSN?
Ana stands for a name that is Ana if this answer is wrong please let me know. Ana is mainly used to shorten Anorexia, and make the harsh word sound... less harsh. People will say, "I've been with Ana" or "Ana is my friend" and other sorts, to make it sound like she's just a friend. I'm not sure if that's how "Ana" started or if it just began as a shortened version of the word.
What is it called when you scramble the letters to find the word?
That would be an anagram. The root "ana" means similar to, and the root "gram" means to write. According to Dictionary.reference.com, and anagram is "a word, phrase, or sentence formed from another byrearranging its letters" Some anagrams are "raw" and "war", "angel" and "glean", and for those Harry Potter fans, "Tom Marvolo Riddle" and "I am Lord Voldemort".
