Kuril
The Kuril Islands are the islands that Russia controls northeast of Japan. The Kuril Islands are officially under the Russian jurisdiction.

Eastern Russia. To the west of Japan is Korea. Russia still occupies islands that they seized from Japan at the end of World War II, as well as Sakharin Island, which is part of the Japanese island arc. To the northeast is the Kamchatka Peninsula, also Russia.

Korea consists of the Korean Peninsula, Jeju Island, and several minor islands near the peninsula. It is bordered by China to the northwest and Russia to the northeast. It is separated from Japan to the east by the Korea Strait and the Sea of Japan (East Sea).
