Back in the mid-eightys, we used to be able to ride motorcycles at the Lark Sand dunes. Out by Herriman and/or Butterfield Canyon. Can't seem to find any mention of it now.

Actually it is called Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake Shore. It is near Traverse City.
Cerro Blanco it is the largest sand dune in the world but Cerro means "mountain" so i would say that you should use The Great Dune Of Phyla which is the tallest dune in Europe.
