One must remember that many different philosophies that deal with the meaning of life, how to live it and what happens when life ends are to be found under the broad category of "religion". Not all religions have a belief in deities at their center.

The status of Scientology as a religion varies around the world. It is viewed as a strictly commercial operation in many countries and by many of its detractors. In others it has been granted official legal status. It was officially recognized by the IRS in the United States in 1993 as a exclusively religious and charitable organization.

Being able to prove that your organization's resources are used exclusively for expressing and furthering its religious teachings and for carrying out charitable endeavors, will provide official LEGAL status under the laws that govern religious groups in the US.

Do scientology get married naked?

Scientologists get married in much the same way as Christians do, except the minister asks the attendees to "give their agreement" to the union, they believe this makes the marriage a reality. So no, unless the couple are nudists, the religion does not call for nudity during any part of the ceremony.

Are Roman Catholics who eat meat Atheists?

Which books do scientologists use?

There dozens of Scientology books written by L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology.Scientology means a study of knowledge, and thus Scientology has many books, as there is a lot to study. But the book that started it all was not a Scientology book. It was a Dianetics book. Scientology is a study of life, what are you, that life force that makes decisions. Dianetics is the study of the mind, your mind. Your mind is what you look at to work out the decision. So it is you who is doing the looking. It is the mind you look to.But Dianetics is the one that started it all, and had six reprints in 1950 before it slowed down selling. What started the whole thing was not just another book on the mind. Hundreds of those come out each year. It was this mental state called Clear that L. Ron Hubbard wrote of. It was pretty quickly realized in Scientology this state was what we were all searching for, spiritually as well. Its best description is still in the book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health. There are other Dianetics books written before and after this one. But this is the one that started all the trouble and got people flocking to it.

Can you convert an atheist to theist?

It depends on the reason that the person is an Atheist, on that person's personal traits, and how well you present your arguments. Atheism is a large tent with numerous different rationales for being an Atheist. There are some individuals who are Atheists simply because they have not been exposed to religion in any serious way. There are some individuals who are Atheists because they are Skeptics or Freethinkers. Some people who are Atheists are dogmatic and adhere to the premise of godlessness in a quasi-religious way. There are numerous other types of Atheists. Each type of Atheist can or cannot be converted in different ways. Atheists who have no real exposure to religion typically do not understand what the lifestyle process of a religion is or, more importantly, why it is worth having a religion. So, that makes the initial discussion very problematic. A Skeptic or a Freethinker generally judges the universe according to rational rules and logic and it is important to understand this worldview before engaging with them. They are typically more difficult than other Atheists to convert because they often have a detailed knowledge of religion and scripture and can pick apart bad logical arguments or disregard personal epiphanies. Dogmatic Atheists should have their strength and attachment shifted, which is a similar tactic that a "converter" would use to get someone to leave religion x for religion y. Regardless, most religious individuals will tell you that it is much more difficult to convert an Atheist to a Theist than convert a Theist in one faith to another faith. In considering the difficulties of this rask consider what a child would have to tell you about the Easter Bunny to re establish your belief in Him. Not just to put eggs out for others to find, but to really expect to recieve eggs himself from a magic rabbit. This is compounded by the fact that atheists generally have been pat of an organized religion and seen theough the obvious fallacies and illogical aspects presented by religion. They will not be impressed by the fallacious arguements presented by most theists to justift their beliefs.

What is athiesm's holy figure?

Atheism does not have a holy figure. Generally, holiness, relates to some kind of religion or god. A definition from Websters dictionary is " devoted entirely to a deity or the work of the deity." Basically, what makes someone holy is that they are very good at the precepts of a particular religion. Atheists don't believe in religion as they don't believe in god. So the idea that there can be a holy atheist is impossible.

Why does the Church of Scientology slander Vanna Bonta on their hate and Fair Game sites?

The Scientology organization makes those sites to discredit people they fear. They claim Bonta communicated with Tom Cruise's former counselor, who left the Organization. Although no known ties exist betwen Vanna Bonta and atheir enemies, the Scientology Office of Special Affairs (see Wikipedia "Fair Game") aggressively seeks to harm and destroy tragets they perceive as a threat, real or imagined. Why do atheists hate God?

Atheists don't hate God; they simply don't think that God exists. This does not mean they hate God anymore than not believing in the tooth fairy makes you hate the tooth fairy.

Will atheism take over?

Somehow, I doubt it. Religion is far too well established for atheism to become the norm. Depending on the stats you use, atheists either make up a tiny percentage of the world's population (if you only count people who are openly atheist), or they are a significant minority (if you include people who don't actually believe in a god or gods but pretend they do because they're afraid of being different or whatever). Either way, the number of people who would be willing to stage an 'atheist revolution' is pretty small. Anyway, one of the main issues that many atheists have with religion is proselytising, or attempting to convert others to your faith, so they're unlikely to want to do so themselves (unless they're militant atheists, who are a minority even among atheists). To summarise, there are not enough atheists to 'take over', and the nature of atheism makes it unlikely that this number will grow significantly enough for an atheist takeover in the near future. Likely, no, it will not completely. Even of majority were to be atheists, it would never be 100% of the world, much like belief in the Divine isn't one hundred percent.
