This is a common problem for all LCD screen TV. LCD Screen Goes black after a few seconds of turning ON. repeat ... and still the same. You have a faulty inverter causing the back light of the LCD not functioning. Check for a bloated capacitor on the power supply and inverter circuit board. This capacitors can be seen visually by looking the top of the capacitors. If it is not flat these capacitors might be the problem. If you tested it with a multi tester it is OK, but if the TV is power on , capacitors is no longer working as normal. try replacing the bloated capacitors. Also, there are some capacitors that may have causing the problem. Try to replace the high voltage capacitors (light blue in color) located in the inverter circuit board. replaced all $ or 5 pcs capacitor. usually the value are 12pf by 3KV and 4.7KV by 3KV.
Goodluck. !!

Hold down the power button for 6 seconds. Then attempt to turn the kobo vox back on. if you cannot turn it back on, or the screen doesn't go black within 6 seconds, hold it down until it goes black/about 15 sec. then turn it on. try charging it at the same time. if all fails, contact kobo customer care.
if your Wii goes black wait for a couple seconds to see if it will turn back on. If it doesn't turn back on try turning your T.V. off and then restart it. If it doesn't work then it might be a good time to get a new Wii. This is Smiley:)
Hold down the back button while pressing the home button two times.

If it is an lcd screen which I'm assuming it is then one of the lamps in the back of the screen has probable blown which is causing it to appear dark. or you could have damaged something else inside of it but that is usually the problem that occurs with a half back washed out screen.
It only comes in black. But you can choose to havea white back which comes in the box as well as the original black one
