"Fahrenheit 451" is set in a dystopian society where books are banned and firemen are tasked with burning any that are found. The story takes place in a future American city that is heavily monitored by the government and controlled by technology. Citizens are kept entertained by mindless distractions and have lost the ability to think critically or feel deeply.
