Yes, i have heard one family who has gone in a desert without water, shade, and food. they have been so thirsty and hungry, their lips turned white and their skin turned all red and started to peel off! There was a father, a mother, a 10 year old girl, and a 5 year old girl trapped inside of a desert. while the father went to go for help the mother and two daughters had to drink yuren. ( pea ). without any shade or water yuren is a liquid, made out of toxins and water left over from the liquids you drink. it is the least you can drink to at least start sweating, or to live. when out of fluids, your body stops producing sweat, it means you are out of liquids, and you don't have that much time to live. While the father was out looking for help, one of the Mexican coyotes ( Mexican mugger ) stopped to TRY to pick up the father as a illegal immigrant of the Mexican border. The coyotes pass themselves as a regular person. They have the water and food you are looking for, but don't share with you or give you a crumb. The best thing to do is if you go to a desert or the border, always take some kind of weapon or something with you, take tons and tons and tons of water, i would say at least enough to last you about a week and a half. also either some jerky or something that contains salt to keep fresh during the hot days. and always bring a emergency kit that contains, extra bottles of water, food, a blanket for shade, and either poison, or ivy or even scapes and bites and even moisturizer cream for safe. But if you are young like age 6 and under, i would be careful if going to a desert. their little bodies can take only a certain amount of heat and days without any water or food. the best way to cool down is to cover the little kids or infants with sand, or use any type of small rock. also i have heard that a cactus carries a small amount of water inside also.
I hope this helps with your question, it carries some facts about trips, and answers tons of questions for curious minds! love, peace, care, KE$HAGIRL1.

You can live longer without food than without water. Generally, a person can survive for several weeks without food, while the average duration without water is only a few days, typically around three to seven days depending on conditions. Water is essential for hydration and physiological functions, making it more critical for immediate survival. Therefore, while both are necessary for health, water is the more immediate priority for survival.
