12 miles is about 20 kilometers. If you don't have to carry overnight gear(tents, sleeping bags ASO) it should be doable in a day, depending on terrain, climate, and and your fitness level of course. Don't expect to have much daylight left when you finish, and don't expect to be able to do much else during the day than to keep walking.
If it was me I'd probably plan it as a day-and-a-half. Start from the morning, do 8-9 miles at a relaxed pace, camp out, and be done by lunch day 2.

There are 5,280 feet in a mile, and since there are 12 inches in a foot, you can calculate the total number of inches in a mile by multiplying 5,280 by 12. This gives you 63,360 inches in a mile. To find out how many segments of 12 inches are in a mile, divide 63,360 by 12, resulting in 5,280 segments of 12 inches in a mile.
