The true battle is between the god of this world, Satan and his demons, against mankind. They will do anything to have us miss the mark and sin, hoping to cause us to lose our chance at eternal life in the God Family.

Some Christian sects teach there is a battle between God and Satan. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Satan can do nothing God hasn't outlined for him to do and only then if we fall short and follow his wrong ways. The omnipotent God and His Son would only have to say a command and Satan and his demons would be bound - as will happen in the end of Revelation.

They hope to cause us to lose our chance at eternal life promised at Revelation 21:3, 4:

And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Since there has never been a death in heaven, this refers to future life on earth.
