it gives it HD and plugging it in a new tv you dont have to hold the button
The games will play in lower screen resolution than if the PS3 was connected to a HDTV with a HDMI cable
get a LCD full hd TV
depends whether you want to buy or rent and whether you want HD or not
You should only buy an HD DVD player for two reasons: 1. If you can afford to buy the HD DVD player and 2. Only if you buy HD DVDs all the time and can't bear to watch it without the best quality.
I definitely recommened HD. I've been playing PS3 in HD for about a year and its amazing. Remember that you need to buy an HDMI cable. You can get for as low as 16 dollars at RadioShack(online buy).
The PS3 has an inbuilt Blu-Ray player. Which basically is a HD player.
