Check to see if the transmission fluid smells and appears burnt. Is it full if not burnt? Look to see if the shifter is connected and working at the transmission. Should be able to see the shift arm on top of the transmission.
The type of automatic transmission fluid to use should be engraved on the transmission fluid dipstick
both power steering fluid or ATF, (automatic transmission fluid) will work, for they are both hydraulic fluids. ATF is just dyed red to detect leaks in the transmission and P.S. fluid is clear. Check owners manual.
