If u are talking about a dwarf Russian white winter hamster, then yes, they are very nice. I have two myself, and if u get them from babies they are very easy to handle. U have to get them used to your hand first, and then try to pick them up. If u do this from a very young age and continue to handle them daily, they make great, friendly pets! They are also MAJORR cutee! If u get more than one, they may fight and chase each other for a few months, but this mostly usually stops after about 5 months.
They do sometimes bite if you handle them after u have just eaten, but if you wash your hands before and after u hold them, they will not do this. If u forget and they do bite u, its nothing to worry about, it doesnt hurt at all, or leave a mark!
They are v. cuteeee and reaally cuddly, and make great pets!
Hope my advice helped,
And i would advise u to get one!!
Winter white hamsters are so adorable and they are not hard to handle at all! I have owned one for a few days and he is already falling to sleep on my hand, climbing around me, and even rolling in his ball like he has done it forever! They are so easy to handle but yes they are a tiny bit hard to cathc if they are running around!! You need to wait for the hamster to slow down and then put both hands in the cage/werether and grab it by the belly and then hold its head, That way it will not be able to move about. Hope this helps! Please answer my questions about hamsterS!!
Hamsters are solitary animals. Two hamsters are likely to fight.
If you buy a winter white (or siberian) dwarf hamster during the winter, it is white with a light gray stripe on its back. The color of a winter white dwarf hamster's coat depends on your hamster. You have to wait until spring or summer to see. :)
There is no difference. Pet shops give them fancy names to make them sound special/exclusive, it makes people pay more. There are 3 kinds of dwarf hamster. Roborovski dwarf Winter white Russian Campbell There is also a Chinese Dwarf Hamster but they are not a true dwarf hamster (genetically speaking) I'd advise you to go to a hamster breeder, they know more what they are doing, or even better, a rescue. Good luck.
There are two kinds of Russian Hamsters: Winter White and Campbells. They may be able to breed with each other.

No, the name of the hamster is Russian Winter White Dwarf Hamster. They aren't actually born in Russia unless you get them imported from there or buy it directly from there.
You probably have a winter white dwarf hamster. In the winter, their fur is white. In the warmer seasons, it is brown or gray. Lucky you -- winter whites are adorable and sweet!
Perhaps the hamster is asleep.
A pure white hamster isn't very easy to find, especially in pet stores. If you have a hamster breeder, it will be easier. If you want a white hamster, you should get a Winter White dwarf hamster. They turn pure white in the winter and are adorable. Occasional spots of white on a hamster isn't rare at all, though. It's very normal.

This is because in the winter, they usually turn white due to less than normal amounts of sunlight. Get it? 'White' in the 'Winter'.
