Anything that is a normal computer that is part of a network can be a node, whether it's a pocket PC, netbook, laptop, notebook, desktop, or anything else. Just make sure the systems are compatible first.
There is no "difference" in that a netbook is a type of personal computer. A netbook differs from a desktop computer in that it is designed to be portable. They differ from laptops and notebooks primarily in size and processing power (netbooks being smaller and less powerful). PC and notebook are pretty much interchangeable. They are a more normal computer as such. PC's and notebooks nowadays have pretty much the same capability as a regular PC, with similar processors, similar capacities of memory and disk space and integrated optical drive. The main disadvantage of a PC and Netbook is that the Netbooks are portable however PC's are not. Intel atom based processors Netbook is a great little piece of technology, lightweight and easy to take anywhere.
A laptop computer is designed to give you a more compact version of a normal computer. It is used by many business men and women. You should follow this link for a picture of a laptop:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:X31_T43_laptop.png

Yes...a laptop is a computer. Basically the same thing as a desktop computer, only smaller. It has a motherboard, processor, memory, BIOS...etc. The same parts as a "normal" computer, only smaller!! That's primarily why the cost more. The engineering behind it.
Yes. You can get printers attached to netbooks. Whether you have normal printer or a photo printer. It should have an USB cable so that you can connect it to the netbook. There are also portable printers available for Netbooks. I am a photographer, and I am using Dell Intel Atom embedded Netbook and requires taking many pictures printouts as the requirement of my subjects. well, for me as a modern society, i dont have either a laptop or a desktop. but soon i should have. but as a student(information technology) i preferred to use desktop, it is convenient to us to make programs with the use of its keyboard. while on the laptop, it is not easy for typing. yet, laptop can take you anywhere but are you sure ur safe to expose it on the others, maybe it will snatch it. for desktop, it is very safe in your home. the laptop is only 2 gb of memory while on the desktop it was upgraded until to 4 gb of memory. so better to use the desktop. if you are a modern type of a person, and if you want to be socialized, preferred to use laptop especially for business minded person.. we as a programmer,, we preferred to use a desktop.. They are the same. Notebook/Laptop The only difference between a Laptop and a Notebook is which manufacturer is calling it by which name. Apple calls theirs "Notebook"" and the other Windows PC vary from one model to the next. A "Netbook" IS different as it is much smaller and does not have the performance or accessories that a "Normal" Laptop/Notebook has.
