Fire blankets are used to smother fires by depriving them of oxygen. Whilst it would not be essential for a car first aid kit it would be useful. Note that a car fire blanket is different to a household fire blanket and will not replace a fire extinguisher.

If a car catches fire, the following safety measures should be taken: Pull over to a safe location and turn off the engine. Exit the vehicle immediately and move away from it. Call emergency services and do not attempt to put out the fire yourself. Do not open the hood as it can worsen the fire. Stay a safe distance away from the vehicle until help arrives.
When an emergency vehicle is on official business, it has priority over all other vehicles. Be patient and wait for the emergency to be over.

You should only use an emergency break if, A: Your breaks have stopped working or B: You are parked on an incline/hill
Contact the the emergency services hotline and file a complaint. Get the details of the emergency services personnel, involved in the accident.
If there isn't a designated area, your senior should be able to tell you where and it should be on little blue cards in each room to tell you where to go in case of a fire or emergency. Its usually a car park.
