A ten year old should not read Breaking Dawn, but they can read the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd books. If you are under ten, back away from the whole thing!!! It is slightly mature for the age, but if your parents don't mind then, I guess you could. It touches on subjects which people ten and under shouldn't and don't understand

Truly I don't see anything wrong with a ten year old reading a novel such as Breaking Dawn. I have read it myself and so have several other people I know of that are pretty young like nine years old even. A ten year old probably wouldn't catch all the details of what is occurring in the novel.
