In my opinion, everybody should pay tithe.
presbyter
A bishop, priest, deacon, or Eucharistic minister.
Everyone that is not a Bishop, minister, or deacon.
.Catholic AnswerNormally a priest, bishop, or deacon is the Ordinary Minister of Baptism. In an emergency, anyone can baptize - even if they, themselves, are not baptized. In the event of an emergency baptism, the local priest should be notified immediately. The minister of baptism is the priest or a deacon. In case of an emergency anyone, even a non-Catholic may baptize.
The priest is the normal minister of Matrimony but a deacon can, with permission also perform a wedding ceremony.
A priest, deacon or Eucharistic minister may apply ashes on Ash Wednesday
In an emergency situation, ANYONE, even someone who is not baptized, CAN baptize anyone if they intend to do what the Church does when she baptizes. That being said, a Catholic deacon MAY baptize a baby legitimately for the Church. In the second case the deacon is acting as an ordained minister and fulfilling his function as such.
Typically deacons may be referred to simply as deacon, but depending on their level of education, reverend is also sometimes appropriate. A permanent deacon in the Catholic church should be addressed as Deacon; however, a transitional deacon (a Seminarian) should be addressed as Reverend Mr.
The role of a permanent deacon is that they remain a deacon and do not move on to becoming a priest, bishop, etc. They can minister some sacraments and can celebrate mass, but their main role is to help the church, community and charities- through the church. They work for the church.
Edward Deacon has written: 'Samuel Fisher, Baptist minister of Norwich and Wisbech, England, 1742-1803' 'Some of the ancestors of Rodman Stoddard of Woodbury, Conn. and Detroit, Mich'
Because they are being Directed to do so, by their Minister, Pastor, Deacon, Priest, Etc.
A deacon's job isn't supposed to be permanent. Only permanent deacon's jobs are permanent. Permanent deacons are married men who, with special permission from their wives, become deacons. But they cannot be ordained to priests, they simply just stop at deacon.
