You mean if he's so sick he is already dying? Otherwise there would be no reason to.

If he is already sentenced to death they can hurry it up so he doesn't die of natural causes or give him euthanasia since the punishment itself is death and not suffering dying. it is important prisoners are executed humanly. But if he is not sentenced to death but life in prison for example he should be allowed to.
