You need 2 cages and put 1 in one cage and the other rat in the other one. leave the cages next to each other so they get the sent of each other. the next day switch the rats into the other rat cages. that way they can smell the sent more. next put them in a flat surface area like a bathtub because its not their property. they will smell each other then the little rat will make a high pitched scream for about two days because they are figuring out who is the boss (which rat) of course the older rat will be the boss of the little one. in about a week they will be calm with each other. I've gone through this before.
