It is if that's what the puppy's parents are registered in. I tend to prefer AKC, but the choice is yours.

How much is it to restrate a newborn horse?

Registration varies from registry to registry. Many registries charge less than 50 dollars some more than 200 dollars. The foal has to have eligible parents in order to be registered or be the correct color for specific color registries.

How can you register a Arabian horse with no heritage papers?

You can try to submit a DNA test if you know who the sire and dam are. If the foal was at any point registered they would charge a fee and give you papers. If however the foal was not registered and if either of the parents are not registered the foal will not be accepted for registration as DNA proof is required.

How long do you have to register your pet with AKC?

I'm not really familiar with AKC, as I live in the UK. However, registration is only normally necessary for breeders, when they are breeding pups to sell. Both parents have to be registered, for the pups to qualify for AKC registration, to prove bloodlines etc.In UK you can still have a pedigree without KC registration, but most are registered from reputable breeders.See related link for more information on American Kennel Club.

Are pedigree and akc registration the same thing?

No they are not. A "Pedigree" is a record of the lineage behind the dog, such as parents names, AKC numbers, OFA numbers, then grandparents, then great grand parents, etc. It depends on if you get a 3 or 5 generation pedigree. A breeder normally gives you a pedigree of your pup's background upon purchase or you can order a 3 or 5 generation Pedigree on your dog from the AKC. AKC records are the individual record of each purebred dog and has to be registered with the AKC. You can only get this if the parents were both registered with the American Kennel Club, AKC and the litter registration of their litter is registered with the AKC. The AKC will then issue out individual AKC papers for each pup in the litter. Hope that helps to explain the difference.

Should check for newborn be made out to parents or newborn?

Make it out to the parents. The newborn will not have a social security number so you will be giving them extra hoops to jump through in order to cash it. You might also consider savings bonds for the child.

The horse could be registered as a 1/2 Arab with the Arabian Horse Association. If the parents are approved for "warmblood" registration, the foal could be eligible.

Can the government take a newborn baby away from its abusive parents?

When it is a newborn, there is no way to know if it is abused or not. If the parents pose a risk to the child, the state will take steps to protect the child.
